I Gots a New Dog!

I gots a new dog! He is a puggy, and his name is Dexter. He's almost three, and was being rehomed because he lived in the city, and loves to run. His family had already had one pug hit by a car, and were scared for him.

I still miss Nick something awful, but Dexter is a sweet, cuddly, licky, charming boy.

Lucky dog

Hey if you follow your track record this is going to be one seriously lucky dog.

Welcome Dexter!

How wonderful that you got a new puggy! Nick is in a better place and I'm sure he loved you enough to want you to be happy with another furshedding, snorting, snoring, noisy companion. Dear Dex, you'll never be Nick but you will be awesome in your way. Hugs to you and your humans.

Dexter

It sounds like Dexter will go a long way to healing your broken heart over Nick. He sounds so sweet too. I've learned a bit about pugs since you mentioned Nick. It sounds like Dexter could not have found a better home. :-)

Dexter

I'm so glad you found a new furbaby. And it is wonderful that you could find one that needed rescuing. :)

New dog/check out my review on amazon

Hi Dana, it's good you have a new dog to help fill the hole in your heart. I waited six months after the death of my beloved pooch to get a new one, and it was six months too long. I used to think it was wrong to get a new dog so soon, almost disrespectful, but now I know it's only honoring the joy your deceased dog gave you. I'll never wait that long again.

Dana, check out my review of your new cookbook on amazon! I'm glad I got to write the first one! I used my middle name Joyce; that's me!

New Pup

Dana - Thank you for going the rescue route! -- I am sure that Dexter has already found a special place in your heart and you in his - as a breeder (collies not pugs - but my collies LOVE pugs because our vet is a pug breeder) I always try and tell people how great rescue is -- you have given a new chance to a wonderful dog and together I hope you have many happy adventures
