Marilyn: I am not familiar with the CAD. Is there a Reward Meal every
day? Does it matter at which (one meal) one consumes the allowed
carbohydrates? I ask because there is one lady in my office who has lost
weight counting carbs. She eats zero carbs after her mid-day meal, she has
French Fries almost everyday. I have not asked her what "diet" she
follows, I am just happy to have someone else within close proximity who
has Splenda when I need a packet. There are a couple of diabetics in our
department, but you'd never know it by the way they eat and they are both
more overweight than the rest of us, even me.

I have been on the CAD plan since October. What I like about the diet I
don't feel deprived. If I really want something that I know is totally not
diet all I have to do is wait for my RM meal. That is what they call the
Reward Meal. You can eat as much as you want but you have to eat equal
portions, start off with salad, 1/3 protein, 1/3low carb vegetables. 1/3
high carb foods including dessert. so if you want more you also have to
keep
the balance equal. It is the older plan I am on the new one is called CALP
Carbohydrate Addict Lifetime Plan. Also written by the Hellers. I found
this web site by searching for the CAD diet. Limiting my carbs to once a
day
has really cut down on my cravings. Of course you should drink a lot of
water also. I just thought others on this site were on it too.
